Steve joined the BBRPD Board of Directors in July 2021 ​ Stephen and Crystal Buckley became homeowners in 2019. Steve grew up in Moline, Illinois, graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in political science and from Willamette University College of Law. For 38 years, Steve was a partner in two Portland, Oregon law firms. Steve's primary areas of practice were labor law and employee benefits. Steve retired in 2019. In 2015, 2018 and 2021, Steve was nominated by Governor Brown and confirmed by the Oregon Senate to serve as one of five directors for the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System.
